A Happy Christmas & New Year Message

Hello Beautiful Readers

Thank you so much for supporting The Natural Lounge this year by reading all my posts, commenting on them, forwarding on my website to friends, being part of my Facebook group, reading me on Twitter and of course attending The Naturally Fabulous event!

I am grateful to all of you and I am so excited because the natural hair movement in the UK is gaining so much momentum. More people are wearing their hair natural. This enables us and our children to have a choice in how we style and present our hair. Imagine what a generation of young girls can achieve if they grow up and they do not believe that their hair is ugly and unmanageable. If they believe they are beautiful by their own standards, the Sky is the limit!

Products for us are being developed every day. I won’t be surprised if next year or the year after, we have our own products in high street stores. It’s really important to also say that many of these products are being developed by people from our own communities, who understand our hair and how it works, we should try our best to support them.

Events are springing up all over the place, there are about fifty that I have heard about which are happening next year. Soon instead of having one or two, we will be in the position to be picky about how we spend our time and money.

What a year. It’s a history being created I am proud to be a small part of that and I am happy to be alive and living in these times.

Next year I hope to do the event again but it’s hard work and with fifty others to compete with I will have to think about it carefully. For the website I will be accepting guest contributions and reviews so you are welcome to contact me if you have an idea. I will try and keep you up to date with everything that is taking place and sometimes you will have to bear with me. With my wedding taking place there might be times when I just don’t post at all 🙂

So I think I have said everything I wanted to say.  I hope you all have a very Happy Christmas and an Amazing New Year. I found this quote recently which I have to share with you

Be Content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realise there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you”

  1. Many happy returns to you. I look forward the all upcoming events and hopefully I’ll be able attend a few.

Just a thought… there maybe many events but I’m sure each event will be as different as its host and I’m also certain any event that is child-friendly (as yours was) will always be popular ;0) Good luck with all your endeavours for 2012. God bless.

  2. Hi Angel,

I am a year into my transition to natural hair (need to update my profile pic lol). Blogs like yours are really informative and I am looking forward to attending your events in 2012.

    Happy New Year!
