Akoma Skincare Lemon Infused Shea Butter

Since being natural I find myself looking at labels a lot more often…do you? Anyway whilst my hair products are good and don’t contain any nasty chemicals, my body products are not always that great.

A few weeks ago I came across a company which I have been meaning to tell you about they are called Akoma Skincare. They specialise in certified fairtrade products with good natural ingredients. So, when my usual body butter ran out, I tried their Lemon Infused Shea Butter.

Price:Its £9.55 for 120ml on Gidore

Akoma shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii), Virgin organic coconut oil ( Cocos nucifera), Olive Oil (Olea europaea), Cocoa butter (Theobroma cacao), Jojoba oil (Simmonsia chinensis ),Sweet Almond oil (Prunus amygdalus var. dulcis), Vitamin E (Tocopherol), Lemon grass oil (Cymbopogon flexuosus), Lemon peel oil (Citrus Medica Limonum), *geraniol, *linalool, *limonene, *citral, *citronellol, *eugenol. *Occurs naturally in Essential Oils

Yes it’s more expensive than what I usually pay for skin products but It smelled great and my skin felt soft and moisturized all day. So, when it ran out instead of popping to boots and getting my usual body cream I got another tub.

What’s amusing is I am quite protective over it now and when I saw my other half using it on his body and rubbing it into his feet I told him off. I said something like “that’s £10 you know!” Then I handed him the old mineral oil filled stuff. He replied indignantly “don’t my feet deserve the good stuff as well? Lol (sigh) I’ve taken to hiding it!
