Shea Moisture, Baby Head-To-Toe Wash & Shampoo

Quite a few people have asked what I use on my baby’s hair and skin. He is currently 14 weeks old and since birth, for moisturising I have been using plain Jojoba oil.

jojobaoilThat seems to be fine. I am only ever going to be using natural products on him so for bathing him I use Shea Moisture Baby Head-to-toe wash and shampoo. (raw shea chamomile & argan oil). My friend got it for me when he was born and whilst I am not sure where she got it from, I know you can get it from Amazon for around £7.

Shea Moisture

The ingredients are: Deionized Water, Decyl Glucoside (Coconut Oil), Lauroyl Lactylate (Palm Kernel), Raw Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)*, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Nut Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Guar, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower (and) Lonicera Japonica (Japanese Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Calendula Extract, Lavender Oil, Rose Extract, Chamomile Extract, Boswellia Serrata (Frankincense) Oil, Myrrh Extract *Certified Organic Ingredient

It smells lovely and you only need a tiny drop on a baby sponge to wash his whole body and hair. Hope that helps! Other mums what do you use?

Oh friends and readers, it has been a while, in fact, my last post on this blog was March…it was around that time that I got some wonderful news.  So I decided to take a break, forget about the hair world and concentrate on me. You see I found out I was having a baby!!

My husband and I were totally ecstatic about and wanted to make sure I did everything right. So we were busy, we went on holiday to Cuba, moved house and during that time I ate well, relaxed, grew a bump the size of a basketball and managed to exercise for the majority of it.

WOW 2015 Southbank London

The Woman of the World Festival (WOW) is a global event that celebrates the strength and inventiveness of women. It takes place at the Southbank Centre from today until 8th March.  There is so much going on during this time with talks and debates on subjects like, fertility, feminism, sex and politics. It is well worth checking it out

Last year I was there at the WOW 2014 festival and took place in the weave vs Natural Debate, after this I hosted a meet up with Crystal Afro of United Kinkdom. It went down well because Shortly after this only a few months later Southbank invited me back to thier Africa Utopia event where I hosted another meet up with Elle and Neecie from Natural Hair Daily.

Me last year

Well those folks must really like me and my meet ups because this year they have invited me and Natural Hair Daily back to host another meet up!!! This will be on the 7th March at 3.30-4.30pm,   if you already have a day pass to the festival just pop in it would be great to see you.

I myself am looking forward to it, and I will definitely be attending some of the other events during the day.
