My Curls – Coco Curly Conditioner and Curl Smoothie

I was contacted by My Curls a London based Natural Product Company to trail a couple of their products. I am delighted to see more and more UK companies arriving on the market.

The first was the Coco Curly Conditioner (£9.99)

The list of ingredients are;
Water, *Glycerin, Jojoba Oil, Cetyltrimethylammonium Chloride, **Cetearyl Alcohol, **Capryl Triglyceride, **Cetyl Alcohol, Sodium Citrate, Panthenol, Coconut Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol (a paraben free preservatice)
* Vegetable Glycerin. **From Coconut Oil/ fractioned Coconut Oil.

In the first instance my hair was in need of a deep condition so I used it after shampooing and kept it in for about 20 mins. To be honest it didn’t really work for me as well as my regular conditioner it was good mind you but usually when I put on my usual conditioner my hair is instantly soft and the curls just pop. So I believe that might be my hair type. I decided to keep using it for my co washes, by doing the first wash with it and then putting my regular conditioner on afterwards. For this it has worked fine.

The Curl Smoothie (£9.99) however was fab for me, The list of ingredients are:

Water, Palm Kernel Oil, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, *Glycerin, Honey, Emulsifying Wax, Vitamin E, **Phenoxethanol and Ethylhexylglycerin, Parfum
*Vegetable Glycerin **Parabens free preservative

One sniff of this stuff and I was transported to a beach in the Caribbean sipping on a coconut cocktail. It smells fantastic. Since going natural I really want products that make my hair smell good. I used to be one of those who was afraid to wash my hair all the time. Now I want to wash it often and when I snuggle in my mans arms I want that hair to smell delicious. To use this, after washing your hair you put it on your damp hair and style as usual. When using this on my hair this way I found that it was really easy to detangle my hair after washing and of course my hair smells just lovely.
