Natural Styles Shine at Exclusive Dining Event.

On Friday I went to Nobu London for an exclusive private dining event which included a hair style catwalk, depicting the afro hair trends from every decade since 1950. It was a simply fabulous evening organised by Nubian Events.

We had Champagne on arrival followed by a delicious four course dinner. The event attracted various professionals from both the business and media world and I left with a hamper full of Mizani products. What a night.

All the models were styled by internationally acclaimed and Award winning hairstylists Angela Plummer and Morris Roots and dressed by Award Winning Fashion Designer Nkwo. Here are some of my photos.

Me with Bridget and Juila from the Black Nerds Network

I’m standing in-between a model and a lawyer but could you tell which one is which? it was an evening of glamour.
Look how lovely the dining table was..
Brenda Emmanus (BBC) and 400m Olympic Champion Christine Ohuruogu (MBE)
Singer Rhian Benson – she gave me a copy of her promo CD and its brilliant she is one to watch.
Mimi Traore organiser with Host Henry Bonsu (award winning Journalist and Broadcaster)

Charles Thompson – Founder of the Screen Nation Awards

from the left me,  Angela Plummer, Morris Roots and Nkwo (some of the biggest names in the natural hair world)  Had a nice chat with Morris about that post I put here months ago (can you remember?) anyway he is cool.

My catwalk photos were crappy but here are all the female Models together. Which style do you like best? for me it was the one in black with the fro.

  1. Interesting! Why was I not invited?! lol. I love the pics though, thanks for sharing 🙂
