The Natural Lounge Live 2011

The Natural Lounge Live up took place on October 8th 2011. This time we teamed up with Naptural Roots Magazine who are based in Atlanta and the event was called Naturally Fabulous. Since the first meet up the event doubled in size and we had 300 women from all over the UK (and some parts of Europe) turn up to celebrate their hair. The event took place in St Paul’s and was hosted by myself (Angel Smith Founder of the Natural Lounge) and attended by Mahogany Boisseau, Naptural Roots own Spokesmodel and LeAnne Dolce Naptural Roots Founder and Editor. 

Telling us like it is

The Show must go on - Organising an event twice as big as the year before was not without its hiccups, We had planned a hair show however Q, the magazine’s official hairstylist was not let into the country (see my post on this here) and Amina Robinson a hair and nutrition expert did not make it into the country either. It was a lot of hard work to salvage things however Bespoke Hairstyles jumped in at the last minute and styled all our hair and literally saved the day. The models wore clothing Yoru- Batik and Blackarmoor Clothing.

We also had Poetry by Hunnii M Gray and G.R.E.Ed.S and UK singer Lanre treated us to a couple of her lovely songs. There was a product and accessory swap, and some fantastic vendors that came along and sold all their amazing natural hair products.

It really was a day to remember and I would like to officially Thank Naptural Roots Magazine for flying in to attend and all of our amazing sponsors.
