Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor oil

I got an 80z bottle of ‘Extra Dark’ Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor oil from Afro-Diety. Its £14.99 Have you shopped there before? They sell three other versions, a regular, a Lavender and a Rosemary.

For this Extra Dark Version they say

“Sunny Isle Extra Dark Jamaican Black Castor Oil is processed the traditional way. The organic seeds are roasted and ground by a manual grinder and then the crushed beans are boiled to extract the 100% pure, dark brown, organic oil. Compared to other brands it is the darkest Jamaican Black Castor Oil because the beans are roasted longer which produces more ash Content in this oil than any other oil on the market”

It smells quite nutty and warm, I actually like the smell and whilst it’s the usual thick consistency of any other JBCO I found it quite easy to apply to the edges of my hair which if you didn’t know, it makes them grow.

To be honest it’s not much different than any other JBCO I have tried. So I guess the proof will have to be in the pudding.

I really don’t know what else to do with it apart from applying it to my conditioner when deep conditioning and adding into a spritz recipe. Oh and I know that it makes your eyelashes grow thicker and longer so I might put it on my lashes.

Do you use JBCO? What do you do with yours?

  1. I use yards finest JBCO. I use it as a pre-poo and scalp treatment. I mix in peppermint, cinnamon almond, hemp, oils for stimulating hair follicles. I use regular castor oil mixed with jojoba or olive oil as a face cleanser.
