Event Alert!! – Afrocenchix Presents #HairCare101 – The Launch

Hi Everyone

UK brand  Afrocenchix founders Joycelyn and Rachael have a new event coming up.

They hope to make make natural hair care as simple as possible by teaching you the fundamentals of handling curly and kinky hair whilst dispelling the myths that natural hair is unmanageable, unattractive and unprofessional.

As well as this you will have opportunity to ask questions to them and guest speakers, trichologist Stephanie Sey and vlogger Chiaka Valentina.

You can read more about it and get tickets right here…

Event Alert – “An Evening With BEUNIQUE HairCare”

BEUNIQUE Hair Care is one of my favourite brands, it has been labelled as the “Best of British” and [one of] “the best independent hair companies operating in the UK.” (Black Hair Magazine).

On Wednesday 17th February 2016, Belinda Raji, owner and creator of the brand and products, is inviting you to come and meet with her, to get to know the woman behind the brand and discover more about the product range.

Belinda says:

“With BEUNIQUE you’re not just buying a hair care product, you’re accepting who you are in all your glory and natural beauty. You’re affirming your status as an African Queen whose beauty starts on the inside and whose hair is a symbol of being unique and free from hegemonic ideals of beauty. It’s my mission to make all women feel BLESSED to be NATURAL and BEUNIQUE!”

The event is described as an evening for Natural Queens to celebrate the glamour of their kinks and curls. There will be musical entertainment and guests will have a chance to indulge themselves with a mini beauty treatment provided by Flawless Touch Nails and Beauty.

Up for grabs on the night will be several luxury ‘Queens Gift Hampers’, each filled with gifts worth over £500.

25% of all ticket sales will be donated to ECHO – Evelina Children’s Heart Organisation, a cause close to Belinda’s heart. ECHO’s mission is to provide support for children and young people with heart conditions who receive treatment at the Evelina Children’s Hospital and the outreach clinics at local General Hospitals attended by Evelina Cardiologists.

Belinda says:

“My daughter was born with a criss-cross heart and several other defects. During the summer of 2014, she had the first of two open-heart surgeries. This was done at The Evelina Children’s Hospital – this is why I have chosen ECHO as the charity I want to give back to, and I hope others will support my efforts.”

The evening will take place at the plush Milk Bar at Grace Bar, 44 Great Windmill St, London, W1D 7NB. Doors open at 6pm. I really wish I could attend but i’m definitely not yet ready to leave my little one, plus I am breastfeeding.

Tickets can be purchased from beuniquehaircare.eventbrite.co.uk if you go, let me know how it was and if you are looking for a new product to try, Belinda’s mango twist is fantastic!

Premae Skincare’s 1st Birthday

Clare Eluka – The founder of Premae

Premae Skincare is a 100% Allergen-Free, Vegan and Natural Skincare  Brand.  I had never heard of them before but on Tuesday night they had their 1st Birthday Party/networking evening so I headed down there with a good friend to find out more about them.

They are a UK Natural brand who have just won a precious award for Entrepreneur of the year and on their website they sell Cleaners, Toners, Moisturisers etc.

The evening was really nice with lots of networking but unfortunately the location of the party wasn’t private so I couldn’t hear a word of the presentation.

That said I did enjoy some cake and got to meet lots of lovely people here are my photos.
