Tangle Teezer – Your opinions please.

Since Naturally Fabulous I have been so busy it has been unreal my inbox is overflowing I need a holiday!!

I have so many products to tell you about and Natural events are popping up every other day so many that if you go to them monthly it will be like taking out a gym membership- 2012 is going to be busy.

Anyway one thing I wanted to discuss today was the Tangle Teezer. It’s a detangling brush which is said to glide through wet, vulnerable and colour treated hair with no pulling, tugging or yanking. It’s for curly and straight hair and priced £11.99 at Boots

The Tangle Teezer Detangling Brush

They were in the goody bags at the event, and also children were given this one as they arrived.

Children were given this one…its a little pot to keep thier goodies inside

I also know a few of you that have tried them before. So what the people at Tangle Teezer would like to know is….what do you think of them? Yes that’s right, we have a voice and an opinion and people want to hear it. Did it work for you? How did you use it. Would anything put you off using it?

Honest opinions and constructive feedback are very much welcome. Please could you write them in the Comments box in the website.

  1. It worked great on my sons hair wet and dry and it worked great on my hair too but worked better when it was wet.

I used it on my hair whilst conditioning after shampooing my hair. I detangled with my fingers and then went over it with my tangle teeter. It actually glided through my hair very very well and I can say the same for my son.

Personally it was a 10/10 and I personally wouldn’t have bought it but after this, I would definitely buy it if i ever lost mine and even recommend it strongly to others.

  2. It was terrible for my hair (fine). It literally shredded it the first time. People with thicker strands seem to do ok with it. There are many reviews on forums and blogs, you should check them out.

My personal review – I would never ever recommend this brush to anyone who wants to keep their hair on their head

  3. I’m sorry but I think it’s the Devil, I thought that it was detangling well but it ended up shredding my hair. I gave the one I had in the goody bag away because I had bought it previously and ended up throwing it in the bin.

  4. I have had a Tangle Teezer for a year now and have yet to really use it. It never really seemed practical on short hair. Trying to grip the hair and the TT and get them together was too much work. I have seen videos of ladies with longer hair using it and it seems to work well. When my hair is longer, I will be using it. But, I do wish it had some kind of handle. Everything get slippery when you are dealing with products and so many naturals have complained of the TT flying across the room.

I really like it. I don’t ever use a brush. I only use a wide-tooth comb and / or my fingers to style my hair. My hair is fine and is medium-short.
I have used it on my hair twice now while damp and once when dry. I only use it for detangling. I use it gently, starting from the ends NOT the roots and working from end to root.
It’s a great detangler for me.

  6. I was surprised by the Tangle Teezer. I thought it’d be terrible but actually it when though my hair just fine and there wasnt a lot of breakage (by my standards, lol). Iv also done a blog post to review it. xx

  7. I got one and I like it. I have fine texturised hair and it works very well.
